“It’s All We Do”

Kirsten Walz attended UNC-Chapel Hill and Mars Hill College and has a B.A. degree in Art History and English. She was born in Boston, MA, grew up in Miami, FL and has called Asheville home since 1988. She has been helping clients with their Social Security Disability and Medicaid cases as a paralegal for over 12 years! Her focus is on case development and brief-writing. She enjoys long walks with her husband and dog, playing the piano, writing poetry, reading, spending time with friends, meditating and bicycling. (Holly adds: she writes music for the piano too!)

Jane Calvo (currently on extended leave) worked for 16 years as the Social Security liaison to Congressman Charles Taylor. She diligently tracked constituent concerns and learned the ins and outs of the Social Security Administration doing so. We are pleased to have her here to share her wealth of knowledge with our clients.

Jean Letterman recently retired from the Social Security Administration after 36 years. She managed the SSI (Supplemental Security Income) section for 20 years. She works with us part-time and continues to contract with the Administration for projects as well. Jean is a gem of a person and has so much information to share with us.

Ralph Campbell grew up in South Carolina. Following his graduation from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, he began a career of over 43 years with the Social Security Administration. After his retirement as Assistant District Manager of the Asheville Social Security office, Ralph has continued to share his extensive knowledge of SSA's Disability program. He works with us part-time and we are so grateful that he does. Ralph and his wife, Marilyn, are active in music, participating in both the Asheville and Hendersonville Community Bands.

Heather Smith has worked for years on a part-time basis for the firm. She is finally with us full-time and can put her experience to work on a regular basis. She also has experience with the Law Office of Jack Stewart, where she worked as an administrative assistant.
